“Out-of-the-Box” conference in Mallorca

Nearly 60 participants from a German sector-specific financial services provider gathered in Mallorca for an unconventional conference.

3 days filled with meetings and workshops – framed by an evening program focusing on authenticity and contrast.

• To find the ideal hotel, offering a range of spaces as well as the flexibility to put the out-of-the-box conference concept into action.
• To create highlights in the evening, inviting participants to experience the destination after an intense conference day.

Originally programmed for 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic initially put a halt to all planning for this event. However, the conference could finally take place in Mallorca in April 2023.

The Hotel Nixe Palace offered an ideal base for the unusual concept of the conference, thanks to its light-flooded spaces and direct sea location. Both interiors and exteriors were widely used.

On the first evening, the participants received a warm welcome at the hotel terrace with sweeping sea views and top notch tapas.

Palma was explored through a guided evening walk through town, followed by an elegant dinner in the harbour.

The last evening provided a contrast and highlight in one, when participants took part in a joint cooking activity at a beautiful historic Finca, fully immersing themselves in the preparation of a whole variety of Paellas with plenty of zest and lots of team spirit. The finished masterpieces were then judged and enjoyed in the old olive press, warmed by acrackling fire in the open chimney.
